Week 28 - Alma 7:23

Loved ones,

I woke up this morning to rain. I love rain. Especially when it's more
like a mist! I opened the door to our deck and heard so many birds
singing songs! What a good way to start the morning and a new week! I
love Georgia!

It was a pretty good week. Cynthia came to church! It was a bit of a
fiasco to get her there... We had a meeting at 7 and it was over at
about 7:35. We had tried calling Cynthia to make sure she was up and
getting ready. She didn't answer so we rushed over to her home. She
were able to wake her up and meet her son who had arrived in town late
the night before (we were painting last week to get ready for he and
his family to move in). He had multiple friends back in Denver that he
worked with that we're Mormon. He said he never really was able to
talk to them about what they believed but admired how they lived their
lives. We taught him and were able to invite him to read and pray
about the Book of Mormon and he accepted. During that discussion we
realized Cynthia couldn't drive and her husband and son were too tired
to drive her to the church. We scrambled and called many ward members
until we found one that could pick her up. Once we arrived it was so
perfect. The speakers seemed to speak just to Cynthia. She leaned over
multiple times and said "We just talked about that" also lots of
"mhmmm's" and "amen's". After Sunday school we asked her what she
thought and she told us how they were things she already knew it just
seemed so much clearer. I love relief society. Cynthia was touched
deeply by the lesson and even commented here and there. EVERYONE
welcomed and embraced her! As we were walking out with her she said
she was so excited for next Sunday and the day left her wanting more.
The more I learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ the happier I
become. The more I share it with others the happier I become and when
they accept it it's overwhelming. Cynthia is still praying about being
baptized. We visit with her tomorrow.

Since being in Georgia I've decided I want to have chickens, a goat,
and a garden. It would be fun and it's all natural! We are going to
watch (maybe participate in) a member killing one of their chickens
today. I'll let you know if I can handle that part next week!

I love you. Thank you for your prayers and support! I know the Lord is
watching over all ya'll while I'm away!

All my heart,
❤️
