Week 33 - 1 Nephi 11:17 What's your verse?

Loved ones,

What an amazing week it has been!

My new companion fresh from the MTC is Sister Beazel (pronounced like
gazelle with a B). She is 23, from California, and is number 5 of 7
kids. She is a huge blessing to me and I am learning so much from her
already!

President Bennion, our mission president, has asked that we become
more of a biking mission. I was thrilled when he asked us and even
more thrilled that Sister Beazel was excited to bike as well. It's so
beautiful outside and we're enjoying it as much as we can! The first
day we did it was harder than we thought haha. Georgia is HILLY! The
second day we had a less active member we had planned to try about 3
miles away and gave ourself time to stop and tract in other areas if
we felt inspired to as well. We made it about 2.5 miles and we got a
flat tire on one of our bikes. We felt it was best for us to walk our
bikes back and look for opportunities to serve and share the gospel
along the way. Along the way we needed to use the restroom and stopped
to see if a home/business would let us use their restroom. The woman
was so kind and happily let us in. We began to talk with her and
shared the message of the restoration and the "Hallelujah" video. She
said she felt the chills as we told her the first vision. She said as
we rang the doorbell she was watching a movie about the Savior and she
knew it was a blessing from God for us to come to her home. She's
excited to learn more with her family! Biking helped us save some
miles, relieve some stress, and find and incredible new investigator.
We will be doing much more biking from now on! Well... As soon as we
get Sister Beazel's bike tire fixed haha.

We had dinner at our Bishop's home and he pulled out his yearbook and
we looked at all four years of mom and dads high school year book
pictures. It is such a small world. I look so much like mom. Lucky
me!!

As we have focused so much on the Atonement and the Savior this week I
have been really humbled at the amount of love Heavenly Father and
Jesus Christ have for us. There was a speaker in sacrament meeting
yesterday that talked about how the Savior had his disciples feel the
prints in his hands and feet and the wounds in his side (John
20:26-31) and also the Nephites (3 Nephi 11) and mentions it in modern
day as well (D&C 6:37 the whole section is great though!). Why? He
said he felt like it was to help us all realize how real He is and how
real His Atonement it. There are many other reasons that I'm sure go
way over my head but I like that one. I know He lives. I know He loves
us and I know that all that unfair about life can be made right
through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He knows us. I'm reminded of
something Elder Holland said to the women in the Atlanta area when he
was here. They had everyone send in questions for him to answer and
help with. He told us the Savior knows what we're going through. Then
he asked.. How does He know what it's like to have a child addicted to
drugs? I don't know but He does! How does He know what it's like to
have an abusive husband? I don't know but He does!... I know that
whatever the trial and whatever the heartache our Savior knows us and
loves us and will rush to our rescue if we will only turn to him.

What a joy it is to have the knowledge of the Restored gospel of Jesus
Christ. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to share the good news
with everyone. Thank you for the love and prayers. I hope all ya'll
are as excited for General Conference as I am. I definitely cried my
eyes out the General Women's meeting.

LOVE ❤️
