Not as thrilled when I found out we'd be serving on a farm the next day haha. But the Lord took care of me and a showered right after and washed all of my clothes just to be safe. It was so fun though!
It all worked out for Angelina to be baptized by her husband in our ward. Sister Hosman had a baptism right after us in the same building! It was so good to see her. Yesterday as I was leaving church I heard Elder Woodwell speaking in his Sacrament meeting. Who would've thought we'd all serve so close together? We'll all see each other at Zone Conference tomorrow. Should be wonderful!
Quick cool spiritual story! Sister Gray and I were pulling into our apartment complex Monday and we saw a man sitting on a bench. It was pretty late and we were a little nervous so we said a prayer asking Heavenly Father if it was safe for us to talk to that man. We both felt we should. We walked up to him, introduced ourselves and told him that we had prayed to ask Heavenly Father if we should come and both of us felt we should. He immediately started crying and told us how his heart was breaking. He asked us to sit down and to pray with him. He told us how he and his family had come here from South Africa and all the troubles they were having since arriving. We listened and testified of Heavenly Father's love for him and his family. We taught him the simplified and intensified restoration. As I looked into his eyes and related the first vision the spirit was so strong. We both testified of that experience. He looked into my eyes and said he knew it was true because he could see the Holy Spirit in my eyes. We invited him to be baptized and he accepted. We explained the Book of Mormon to him and he related in an amazing way to Lehi and his family. He is so excited to read it!! We are blessed beyond measure here! I love you all! ❤️ Sister Christensen
